the ART of Film.
This piece was my first project in motion graphics. I looked back through my body of work and discovered that the zine I created early that year felt unresolved. With consistent references to the Saul Bass title sequences of these famous films, the work was calling for motion. I decided to pick up where The Art of Suspense left off, and expand on the idea of the title sequence. The Art of Film–1960s serves as an introduction to the The Art of Suspense and the series of zines to follow. The sequence followed the same style as the zine with addition of motion. I chose horror, suspense, westerns, and comedy as sub-categories because of their importance across filmography in the 1960s.
